Tesla Model S: A Sustainable AWESOME Electric Vehicle

Green Living is the Life For Me!

A few weeks ago I met Jay Gallagher at an electric car show sponsored by Advance Energy.  Jay is unusual in that he owns both a Tesla Model S and a Nissan Leaf. This week I had the chance to sit down with him and discuss his thoughts specifically about the Tesla, but also his experience with the Nissan Leaf.

Test Ride and Interview Continued

As I said on the video...WOW! I was feeling that kind of excitement during my ride similar to being on a new rollercoaster or a jet (not that I've been on a jet!). This is one awesome car!

Right now, Jay is getting around 265 miles out of his fully charged Tesla. His mileage is over 37,625 miles. He has been impressed with Tesla's overall package, the constant upgrades in the software and considers himself one of their biggest fans. He jokes that his next improvement will be an electric back massager for all the sitting he does on the long drives.

Electric Car Documentaries Worth Watching

While riding with Jay, we started talking about electric vehicles, films and two great documentaries about the evolution of the electric car. If you get the chance, I highly recommend the following documentary movies:

Who Killed the Electric Car

Revenge of the Electric Car
